Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 13th April I'm running in the Virgin London Marathon once again. When I entered the ballot again, I had no real expectation or hope of getting in, but here I am, just 4 weeks away from pounding round 26.2 miles of the streets of the greatest city on earth. I'm again running to raise money for Compton Hospice, the palliative care centre that serves people in the West Midlands, that cared for my Father when he was diagnosed with cancer . It's a charity that my Mum and I have supported since he passed away, so it would be great to raise as much money as possible for a great cause.
Training is going well, the ITB seems to be behaving itself so I hopefully won't be needing a pre-race anaesthetic this year. I'm aiming to beat my time of 3.29.08, which will be challenging, so we'll see how that goes!
I raised nigh on £2.5k last year, which was fantastic, so thank you to everyone who donated! It would be great to try beat that this year, so I'd be very grateful of any donation, large or small.
