Hi everyone I’m running the reading half marathon again this year again in memory of my little brother Nick who tragically drowned at sea in Portugal whilst on his first holiday abroad with his best friend. For me and my older Nev losing our little brother has left a huge hole in our lives but for my parents losing their youngest son I cannot begin to imagine their pain!!

Last years fundraising was fantastic to cruise past my £1000 target and totalling £1359 I promised if I hit the target I would run in fancy dress and decided on a Star Wars “storm trooper” as my children loved it! The look on the kids faces as I went around reading was worth the pain. So this years going to be even better as I have a couple of very good friends Jack and Scott  joining me on the dark side again in new Star Wars fancy dress!! 

Without donations the RNLI and the volunteers wouldn’t be able to look after our coast lines and keep us save whilst we enjoy the beaches in summer etc. We dont want another family to go through what we have. Nick wasn’t lucky enough to be saved in Portugal but with your donations money raised will go to saving individuals in the future!
