Bupa Great North Run 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

The first I knew about Alzeimers was when my Grandma was diagnosed with it. It was devastating for my family to see someone we love not remember us and to lose the memories that meant so much. Alzeimers is still effecting my family now and I want to raise awareness and funds for the Alzeimers Society so they can further their research and keep helping those living with Alzeimers. Running the Great North Run will be a big challenge for me and i'm already in training to make sure i finish! I've even given up a bad habit (not beer!) and now need every bit of your support to help me get across the finish line. So please give what you can for a great cause. Thank you.
