Story
Thanks for visiting my Justgiving page. I'm Nathan, I started running during the lockdown in 2021 because the gyms were closed due to the pandemic and fell in love with it. I took part in my first event around 12 months ago. After the first half marathon in Birmingham I gave myself a target to run 6 half marathons before the end of 2022. Once I'd accomplished that, I gave myself a new target. Completing a full marathon in 2023. It’s been a long but amazing/ mental journey training and I can’t wait to push myself to this mad achievement.
I'm Running the Manchester Marathon in April to raise money for The British Heart Foundation is close to my heart and I’m sure to many of you too. My nan had a heart attack and passed away during my childhood. My sister was born with a hole in her heart and has had to undergo operations to make this right. By donating it helps people like my sister and what could’ve been a better life for my nan. This is a charity very close to my family and myself.
The BHF has helped to halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but sadly every day hundreds of people are still losing their lives. It's only thanks to support and charitable donations from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. As an example, £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist.
Every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
