We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

We are a multi-disciplinary team of consultants, doctors, nurses and therapists on the Royal Hallamshire’s Hyper Acute Stroke Unit. We are joining forces and pledging to drink only thickened fluids for 24 hours with the aim of:

- raising vital money for the Stroke Association

- increasing our insight into the lived experience of many of our patients who have swallowing difficulties after a stroke.

*******************************

We are a team of NHS staff dedicated to the care of patients with stroke. To support the Stroke Association "Make May Purple" each of us has picked a challenge (as individuals or smaller teams) in order to raise funds.Due to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak, the work of the Stroke Association is more critical than ever. From encouraging those with stroke symptoms to seek emergency medical help, through to providing peer and community support to stroke patients after they leave hospital, the Stroke Association is working closely with the NHS to keep stroke survivors safe in their recovery during this pandemic. The Stroke Association relies on charitable donations to undertake this important work. Please sponsor our staff in their respective challenges!
