Thank you for visiting this page.InshAllah on July 15th Naveed and myself will be travelling to Palestine to spend the end of Ramadan in Masjid al Aqsa. An opportunity has arisen for us to raise money for a charity called Zaimah.MashAllah they are doing good work including raising money to feed people at Iftar time in Masjid al Aqsa in the last ten nights, but also in Jerusalem and neighbouring refugee camps.InshAllah we hope to help in distributing this food ourselves.The food is purchased from local markets and businesses thus supporting the local Palestinian economy.Zaimah are also planning to support a female only madrasah very near to Masjid al Aqsa.

Our beloved prophet (pbuh) advised us about Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) "Go and pray there. If you cannot visit it and pray there, then send some oil to be used in the lamps". (Bukhari)

And "Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward." (Tirmidhi)

So inshAllah it's a great opportunity for us to help our Palestinian brothers and sisters in this blessed month.
