Navjot Singh - 10k Run

Air:Run 10K 2021 · 15 May 2021 ·
Hello friends, family and others who were kind enough to visit my page. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Navjot Singh Jagdev and I am an ACHD (Adult Congenital Heart Disease) patient; this means that I have lived with a heart condition since birth. Thanks to the help and support of the British Heart Foundation, I have had the privilege of living a healthy, active lifestyle. I am also eternally grateful to them for the support that they have provided for my family throughout the years.
The BHF are responsible for halving the number of patients dying from heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. Unfortunately, there are still: approximately 190 people dying from a heart attack every day; 38,000 people dying from a stroke in the UK every year; 150,000 people suffering from vascular dementia (which is the second most common type of dementia) and with COVID-19, it puts these patients at a greater risk. By donating to the BHF, we are funding the research to combat these heart and circulatory diseases.
On a more “light-hearted” note (pun intended), I started running in August... and not just away from my problems (just kidding). I found it to be a very tranquil form of exercise as it allowed me to reflect upon my thoughts and it gave me a chance to explore my community and nature to it’s fullest. Through my explorations and the support of my friends and family, I was encouraged to sign up for the AirRun 10k Charity Run on the 15th of May 2021. I chose this because I wanted to challenge myself and to demonstrate my appreciation for all the good the BHF have provided for me and my family.
Finally, for those of you who are still reading, you have a long attention span. Jokes aside, I’d like to thank you all for visiting my page and any donation will be much appreciated. Challo Mitro (let’s go friends)!
PS special shoutout to OVO Shiv Amar Sailesh Shah as he inspired me to get into running.
