Last year Nationwide members and colleagues raised a quite staggering £153,399.48 for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. We came together to eat cake, drink tea and share stories all in aid of a hugely worthwhile cause. 2020 will understandably have to be very different. Due to the pandemic and the guidelines around social distancing the way in which we have traditionally organised World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Nationwide Building Society is not possible.

All donations made by Nationwide members & colleagues goes towards our Macmillan grants programme. These grants are one-off payments to help people on low incomes who need immediate support with costs caused by, or related to their cancer. They can be used to help pay for specific items or bills that can help keep people living with cancer comfortable in their own homes. Four in five people living with cancer are on average, £570 worse off a month because of their diagnosis. Your support means the sanctuary of home is one less thing those facing cancer must deal with.
