Maggie's Manchester, based across the road from The Christie Hospital Manchester, provides free invaluable support for people with cancer and their families through provision of specialists and advisors, both in their centres and online. Throughout the lockdown Maggie's has been there to support, advise and nurture: online, by phone and many other ways.

N-CHOIR is a community choir based in Bramhall, Stockport. 
We are increasing awareness of and raising funds for Maggie's to enable them to continue their far reaching support for free. Their incredible work has touched many of our hearts and lives.

This is a fundraiser with a difference. We aim to achieve our goal with a fantastic team effort.

Week 1: We were so close to achieving our steps goal we had to increase the challenge to 6,000,000 steps for Maggie's in March.

Week 2: We 'smashed' our target steps again so have set ourselves a new challenge. 

Week 3:As it is our 9th birthday we are now seeing how many days it takes us to reach 9,000,000 steps for Maggie's. WE SMASHED IT AGAIN!! 

Week 4: We were steadily climbing towards our goal of 12,000,000 steps for Maggie's. WE SMASHED IT WITH THREE DAYS TO GO!!!  WOOHOO!

Our choir is a family. We are working as a team to achieve our goals.                     Watch out for the orange T-shirts!

If we are out and about you'll see us running, walking, cycling, doing Tai Chi, even tiring out the grandchildren exercising in the park. If we are in isolation we'll be stair stepping, hall walking, garden exercising, or even dancing in the kitchen. Whatever is possible during these restricted times. All done to add to our total steps count with Maggie's in mind.

Maggie's needs our help now more than ever so that they can continue their vital work.  "Everything we do depends on the kindness of our donors. We will always be there for people with cancer but we need you alongside us".
