Me and Neil are raising money for our chosen charity, Deaf Action, who offer an inclusive community free from barriers, where deaf and HOH can fulfil their full potential and thrive. We’re keen to support them as they extend their services to new audiences in South England, to continue positively impacting on the lives of young people.

They offer help in every aspect of a deaf person's life, whether it is practical support at home, delivering counselling sessions, teaching hearing people about things they can do to help, or providing extensive access to training such as BSL, constantly keeping up to date with the latest technological advances.

Ella's Story

As a hard of hearing person myself, I've experienced the frustration and insecurity that you can feel when you can't hear what is going on around you. 

It can be extremely isolating in a social world for the thousands of those like myself who are hard of hearing, but don't live in an exclusively deaf community. I feel so fortunate to have a network of friends and family who are always so understanding, supportive and helpful. Not forgetting the amazing Dr. Albuquerque who I have seen at St. Helier since 2003.

We are raising money for those who may not have this network, supporting children and adults whose lives are muffled, hushed or silent through our chosen charity, Deaf Action.
