Sundowns is a Wirral-based charity supporting over 70 families who have a child with Down’s Syndrome. We offer friendship, advice, and activities from diagnosis onwards – helping families feel connected, confident and celebrated. We believe in empowering families and inspiring futures.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In August 2014, five days after our little boy Joey was born, we received his diagnosis of Down's syndrome. We left the hospital, scared, confused, and given nothing more than a leaflet for Sundowns.

The charity proved to be a lifeline for us. Giving us information, advice, support and friendship. They showed us that Joey's future was nothing to be afraid of, in fact it was very bright.

In a June 2016, Sundowns were there for us again, when against all odds we had a little girl and she too had Down's syndrome.

This April, me and Joey will be trekking 120 miles around Angelsey's coastline . Joey has only been walking independently since September. Lad and Dad will be camping out each night on the trail.

Please help us support this amazing charity.
