Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Anybody who knows me knows I don't exercise. I'd rather get the next bus than run for the one that's about to leave.
One night it was decided that I should run the Great North Run (38 years after the only other time I had done it).
I am doing this to raise funds for Marie Curie. Sadly my Dad passed away 17 years ago after a short battle with Cancer. He was a fit man. Marie Curie provided Dad with incredible end of life care and made those final couple of weeks as comfortable as was possible. We will never forget what they did. It costs over £8500 a day to run the Newcastle Hospice.
I have failed to prepare for this challenge. Not proud of that fact but it is reality. Last year was cancelled due to blisters a few weeks before. This year I have not even had the chance to get any blisters. It will be so tough and painful, but it's nothing like the battle that cancer sufferers go through. I will get over the line somehow.
I hope you can support me.
