NEIL'S RUNNING BRIGHTON MARATHON 2011
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you can see I have dumped my bike and wet suit from previous exploits in triathlons and am now attempting the big one - a full marathon! I have chosen to do the Brighton Marathon on 10th April 2011 in order to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
As many of you are aware my Dad died last January having suffered from stomach cancer - his decline from the highly active man we knew and loved in August 2009 to January was quite frightening. My Mum, brothers and I were hugely appreciative of the work Marie Curie nurses undertook in coming to sit with Dad at night; you may recall the dreadful weather in Edinburgh that winter but their dedication meant they managed to get to us practically every night over the last couple of weeks (including Christmas and NewYear).
Therefore, in memory of my Dad and in order to help raise some funds I am pounding the (hopefully flat) streets of Brighton in April; so any donations you can make would be hugley appreciated. Please pass this link to friends and colleagues who knew Dad and may want to contribute.
