Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last time i fundraised was London Marathon 2000, as i dont like to ask for peoples hard earned £. However, i feel very passionately about this cause, and is something i think the world should strive to do all we can to improve. 4000 children die every day from drinking dirty water. I think we could AT LEAST generate enough for a rainwater harvesting tank at £607. So I've aimed high, at £1250, for a reservoir tank in Nepal!!
Starting January 27 the ‘GeneroCITY: To Africa and beyond’ Fitness Challenge commences: GeneroCITY for WaterAid This fundraising event challenges you to walk, run, swim, cycle or row as far as you can every day for four weeks.
As I do currently do a little training, I am going to make this interesting, not just for me, but also my sponsors and really push myself for the next month.
My personal target is 600 miles in 4 wks. Which equates to over 21 miles a day. And before you mention it, my commute is only 9miles in total! If you fancy seeing if i can work harder, i'm open to incentives to try for further!!
Either way, all contributions will be gratefully received. Just £15 would enable one person to access safe water.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you, Neil.
