Manchester Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·
For the past few years I have attended a wonderful charity Christmas dinner as a guest of Chris and Steph Corrigan, both of whom are trustees of Norfox. The food is great and the atmosphere very special as we stand on chairs belting out the 14 day of Christmas (because there's 14 tables!) and generally have a merry time. However, the purpose of the event is to raise money to help children through local charities and giving something back to the communities in which we all live. During a few light heated speeches we are told how this group (Norfox) work through the year to organise events, volunteer their time and support fund raisers (all from the goodness of their hearts) and they do this each year for children and families they do not know, but nonetheless need a little help. Ultimately, there comes a point where you can't just sit back and let them do it on their own, and so, before I get too old I decided that in a bid to help in this stupendous effort there must be something I can do each year to raise some much needed capital. 2020 is the first challenge and thought I'd start with an easy one, it's the Manchester marathon. So on the 5th April 2020 I will be pounding the streets raising money for Norfox and I hope that you will all support this wonderful group.
