That’s right… In April I will be running my first ever marathon, in London. 26.2 miles… Wow! I’m super excited but a little nervous too. I’ve already started the training and I have estimated I will be putting in more than 500 miles to prepare. It’s going be a challenge but it’s for an amazing cause! The support from family, friends and work colleagues has already been amazing. 

Working through the covid 19 pandemic, delivering food supplies to peoples homes really opened my eyes too how many people were struggling for food in the UK. Seeing the relief on their faces when I turned up was heart wrenching at times. So when this opportunity came up to help, I jumped at the chance. 

Nobody should go without food and especially not children. This is the motivation I’m going to use to push me through all the way to the finish line. 

At meals and more we want to reduce and eradicate 'Holiday Hunger' by supporting holiday provision in communities across the UK. A third of children in the UK currently live in poverty and while they may have access to free school meals during term time, they are not guaranteed a nutritious meal during school holidays. Meals & More funds holiday clubs across the UK that provide both healthy meals and enriching activities that help children nurture and develop their interests.
