Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I had a stroke 4 years ago, I am a stroke survivor, I'm raising money for

The Stroke Association to help support other Stoke survivors and enable

awareness and training.

It has been a long road to recovery whilst living with the after effects of a

stroke, this will be my third year "Stepping Out" and another milestone in

my life, like a majority of those who have experienced a stroke, life after

can be hard, difficult and a learning curve. I personally have experienced

first hand how difficult it is to hold down employment and finding

understanding employers who will give Stroke Survivors a chance to

show their ability not their disability, unfortunately this hasn't been

an easy transition when you want to work, so hopefully money raised this

time will help towards educating employers so that people like me with

the after effects of Stroke can be an asset to their company when given

a real chance.

Thanks for your time.
