WBSS provides safe, confidential spaces where adults, children, or young people from Walsall can talk about their bereavement and any experiences, thoughts, and feelings caused by this. this helps to enable them to develop constructive coping tools to process and manage their grief.

Story

Those that know me will testify that I’m a) far from being an Olympian and b) despite cycling fairly regularly, still have legs not too dissimilar to Pinocchios.

Add to this the fact that I’ve never cycled anywhere near 100 miles in a day and you will appreciate that this event will be a challenge! If I’m honest, I’m more than a little apprehensive.

I have been raising money for a few years now for Walsall Bereavment Services (WBS). WBS is a fantastic charity based in Walsall that supports young people who have suffered a bereavement or adults bereaved by a suicide. The impact losing a loved one has on people varies but, as I know first hand, services such as WBS are vital to help with the emotional rollercoaster that follows after a loved one passes. WBS like many charities has seen its grant funding fall considerably and so any money raised will make a huge difference. You will be making a difference!

So, if you are able to donate it would spur me on to the finish line and help WBS to continue to provide much needed support to individuals.
