Children’s challenge 2018 · 19 July 2018

We want every child in the UK with a neurodisability like cerebral palsy - and their families - to have access to learning and life changing therapy, aligned with our Pace approach. Our specialist clinical, education and therapy teams work with babies, children & young people from 0-18.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Annie and I am 9 years old.  I have Cerebral  Palsy which affects my whole body.   I use my voice , PODD book and VOCA eye gaze device to communicate.  I love singing and I am a member of our local Theatre Shed.  On the 19 July this year I will be taking part in the Children’s Challenge at the world famous Stoke Mandeville Stadium.  My challenge this year is while sitting cross legged I will press a jelly bean switch to make a ball move towards a target and I will lift my head up to look where the ball is going.    I am working really hard on this as being able to use my arms and keep my head up increases my independence, engagement and access to my environment.  If you could please donate to my page as we need to raise lots of money for my amazing school so they can continue to provide me and all the other children with the specialist therapy we need on a daily basis
