Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself, Sam Gittings, Richard Nugent, Tony Ward and many others are organising a number of events to raise money for the MSA Trust which is working to find treatments and cures for the condition known as Multiple System Atrophy. Currently there is no cure and no treatment and those diagnosed can expect to live between 6-9 years. However an individuals condition can deteriorate quickly and leave them wheelchair bound and requiring 24 hour treatment. Sadly this is now the case with Martin.

Although my name heads this page as head organiser this is a team effort with all those mentioned and many others too many to mention. Friends and family of Martin doing what they can to support him in his time of need.

Martin is the record goal scorer for Stevenage FC with 217 goals, a record unlikely to be beaten. But outside of his football achievements Martin worked for many years helping disadvantaged young people into work, college and further training. He travelled the UK setting up training centres on the toughest estates in the toughest areas. He has touched the lives of thousands of people through football and his work. Its now our time to support him.

We have sold almost 600 tickets to date with many more to follow we hope. Please donate what you can it all counts no matter how big or small
