Story

Thank you for visiting my page!

Last year I cycled 300 miles during September and raised over £1000 for Behçets UK. This year I am planning to go one step further and cycle 1114 miles as part of the Behçets to the Beach fundraiser, this is the equivalent of cycling from London to the best beaches in all four of the home nations. By doing this challenge I am looking to raise awareness and some well needed funds for Behçet’s UK.

I was diagnosed with Behcet’s in 2018.  Behçet's (pronounced Bet-jets) is a rare, complex condition that can affect any part of the body in multiple of ways. Personally, I am affected with chronic pain and fatigue, as well as other issues, making the challenge more difficult for me to achieve.

There are 3 National Behcet's Centres of Excellence across the UK with one based in Aintree Hospital, Liverpool. More information can be found about Behcets UK on https://behcetsuk.org/

There is currently no cure for Behçet’s and money raised here will be used in helping fund research amongst other things.

Any support, however big or small, will be greatly appreciated and gladly received.

Thank you for your support!

Neil
