It's on! I'm running the Cardiff Half Marathon on 1st October. It was touch and go for a bit there, but my knees are working properly again and now I can't wait! The work Homestart do with families with young children is so valuable. A family who are finding things difficult for whatever reason can have a volunteer spend a couple of hours a week to listen to, support and encourage them. It's close to my heart because Helen's volunteered at Homestart for a while now, and I've just completed my training ready to start volunteering soon. I know that Helen has made a real difference to the families she’s worked with.
