Sue Ryder Emergency Appeal · 6 April 2020

Campaign by Sue Ryder (RCN 1052076)
With fundraising events cancelled for the rest of this year and no clear indication of when we can open our shops or how long it will take them to return to normal trading we anticipate a funding gap of £1m per month from July.

Story

Sue Ryder is a fantastic Charity doing fantastic work through Palliative and End of Life care in our Hospices and Hospice at home service, through our purpose-built Neurological Centres providing care to some of the most vulnerable people in society suffering from Parkinson's, Huntingdon's, MS and Motor Neurone and brain injuries, and also through our extensive bereavement service.

Never have these services been in more demand than right now, and over the coming weeks and months. Yet we are faced with a £4m a month drop in our income as our 450 charity shops are closed and big fundraising events such as the London Marathon are postponed.

As Chair of Sue Ryder, and a Trustee of this wonderful Charity for seven years, I am supporting their Emergency Appeal so that we can maintain our services, and hopefully expand them to meet the growing demand due to the terrible effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

I really hope you too can support Sue Ryder not only through donations but also by circulating this appeal to anyone or any corporate you know who might consider supporting us through my JustGiving page. Also, by supporting the critical services that Sue Ryder provide; it is "business as usual" for our care staff alongside their NHS colleagues at this critical time for the nation.

Every little bit helps, so please do all you can to help.

Neil.
