Neil Slater, one of Ilkeston's finest, will be attempting the Halstead and Essex marathon on the 12th May. At 67 years old this is no mean feat as he hasn't ran one for over 20 years.Along with raising money down south with his daughter Sarah, and in Spain (where he currently resides) for GOSH, Neil wanted to raise cash for a local cause.

When Leigh heard this, he immediately thought of the Trueman family raising money in memory of their daughter/sister.

We are therefore raising for Brain Tumour Research UK in memory of Jade Trueman, and to support one of Leigh's long time friends Alan.

Please give generously and remember he's  67!! That's got to be worth a few bob :)
