Thanks for supporting my fundraising.  Macmillian is a chairity very close to my heart. 

In June 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer and rushed into hospital. The following day I under went an 8 hr operation and given a temporary stoma and in Dec 2022 I underwent another 8 hr operation  following four rounds of chemotherapy plus various other treatments, scans, cameras and so on.  I am now in remission and have been lucky to have the support of the Macmillian Centre in Southampton University Hospital there to help me through my journey so far.

I decided to try and get fit again post this diagnosis and operations. So  I signed up for a Half Iron Man in Sept 2023 in Weymouth to raise some funds for Macmillan. Its a 1.2 mile sea swim followed by a 56 mile bike ride and finished with a 13.1 mile half marathon run.  Im no runner and not much better at swimming - I blame the drugs I was on when I signed up for getting myself into this position.... too late now!
