Thank you for taking the decision to support us on our special day by giving a donation to the International AIDS Alliance.
Steve and I thought you may like to know something more about the Alliance and why we have chosen to support it.I worked for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance in 9 countries. I met hundreds of people affected by HIV and AIDS whose lives have been profoundly changed by the work of the Alliance.
At the time of our wedding when we are celebrating our relationship, we want to mark the work of the Alliance in supporting those whose close relationships are complicated and sometimes destroyed by HIV and AIDS. We believe in particular in the Alliance's work promoting fair access to anti-retroviral treatment, and removing the stigma and discrimination against those living with HIV.
