Story

This October, I'm going to be representing the National Autistic Society at the Royal Parks Half Marathon!

As a late diagnosed Autistic adult with family also on the Spectrum, I feel more needs to be done to support people of all ages with Autism, and help in gaining a diagnosis. Navigating the system to be heard and seen is tough, and the waiting in between can be incredibly stressful.

Autistic people face discrimination and barriers across all sectors of society. By fundraising for the National Autistic Society, you’ll be directly supporting autistic people and their families access tailored information, guidance and support along with opportunities to explore their interests, develop skills and build friendships for fulfilled lives.

To help this cause, I'll be *walking* the Half Marathon, trying my best to fit it in under the 4 hour mark. I already have a love of long distance walks, hikes, and treks, so I thought I would challenge myself (and my joints!) to go the extra few miles and see what I can achieve in the name of a really good cause.

Thank you in advance for supporting my huge challenge and donating whatever you can, it will make a massive difference.
