The Hygiene Bank has teamed up with Metro.co.uk as part of a brand new charity fundraising campaign to raise vital funds and awareness helping those affected by hygiene poverty.

Story

We are walking the Metro 26 mile 10 Peak Challenge to raise funds for this very special charity, THE HYGIENE BANK.  Founded by our friend Lizzy Hall in 2018 it has grown to a national charity providing essential toiletries to those most in need.

Galvanised by the belief that being clean is not a luxury or a privilege, The Hygiene Bank is a registered, people powered, grassroots charity grounded in community. We collect and re-distribute donated toiletries, hygiene, beauty and personal care items to UK charities, voluntary organisations and schools. These in turn are then given for free to their beneficiaries. Our passion stems from a sense of injustice: it's not right that anyone should face hygiene poverty in modern Britain.
