Story
We are excited to once again be running a whole school charity
walk. This biannual, fun activity has been a school event for at least the last forty years, and this time we are raising money for Sheffield Childrens Hospital. The walk, which will be organised by the PE department is 5 miles long and takes in Poolsbrook Country
Park, a route that we have used successfully for many years.
The charity has been chosen by a group of Year 10 students after the tragic death of their friend and relative, Logan Folger. Logan died in hospital after becoming trapped underwater in the canal in Staveley in Summer 2021. We would like to use our sponsored walk to remind students of the danger of water and how to respond if they see someone in trouble.
Students are wearing blue in remembrance of Logan.
