Brathay 10in10 - 2020
Campaign by Brathay Trust (RCN 1021586)
In 2007 Sir Christopher Ball suggested that the Windermere Marathon incorporated a 10 marathons in 10 days event. 12 years later it's one of the "UK's toughest running events".

Story

To have been picked to take on the challenge of the Brathay 10in10  is a dream come true. Running 1 marathon can be hard enough, but to undertake 10 marathons in 10 days over a tough course has had me inspired since running my 7 in 7 challenge in 2018.

This year I watched Day 9 of the challenge and then ran day 10 to test out the course. And yes there are a few challening hills along the way! I was in awe watching the 10 in 10 runners finish and knew I had to apply.

Getting the phone call to say I had been accepted reduced me to tears in the best way possible. On Friday 8th May 2020 this dream will become a reality when I tow the start line for marathon one of ten. I will be tested to the limit both physically and mentally.

I will be raising as much money as possible for the Brathay Trust, a fabulous charity that work toward improving the life chances of children and young people in the UK. Everyone deserves a chance in life that can go on to change their lives that last a lifetime.

So now I need your help and support to keep me going through all the months of training.  This will be my toughest challenge I have ever taken on, and I know there will be some amazing moments and some very dark moments.  But with your support, messages and donations I know that I can do this and have a bit of fun along the way!

Many thanks for reading my page and I will keep all supporters updated along the way with the training.
