π Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
πͺ Neurodiverse Sport's Caragh McMurtry is joining forces with The Neurodiverse Personal Trainer George Eastwood to cycle and run (or walk) a 102km route around the Isle of Wight - George's stomping ground, and Caragh's favourite holiday spot!
It won't be a holiday this time though, as they will be cycling 62km from Cowes to Chale Green, and running (or walking) 40km from Chale Green back to Cowes. π₯΅π₯΅π₯΅
π They will be undertaking this feat in celebration of Neurodiversity Week and to raise money for Tourette's Action - a charity that has helped George and many other people with Tourette's Syndrome to understand and embrace their conditions and to be better understood by those around them.
[It was hard really to choose a single charity to donate to, so they've made a pact to undertake a second event this year in order to raise money for their second charity of choice - but not second best - ADHD Foundation : The Neurodiversity Charity!!! πππ]
π΄ββοΈπββοΈ This time around however, the duo will be completing the ride & run on the last day of Neurodiversity Week, and it is their hope that they not only inspire people to donate, but that they also inspire other neurodivergent people to get active and get involved!!!
π Our wider team agree that sport is one of the greatest neurodivergent self-discovery and self-management tools - and also the most under-utilised.
We hope that in seeing two neurodivergent people band together to push their own boundaries, others might feel inspired to take the first step for themselves... πππ
π The duo will be checking in on social media throughout the day - they will be available for live chat's at points, and would love for people to join them virtually for segments of the ride and/or run!!!
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations, awareness raised, and interactions on the day - whether through live chat or by taking part virtually! πππ
