Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page to raise funds for Cancer52. 

For those that do not know us we are an engaged couple, Charlene Estrada & Jeff Nang (Ng) from London UK, who have both recently experienced the loss of our Father's from rare and unknown cancers.

Towards the end of 2019, my Dad (Charlie Estrada) was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of lung cancer, where only 3 others in global medical history have ever been diagnosed. With little to no research history and no possible treatment, my dad was given limited opportunity to really fight against this truly horrific disease. Through his suffering and struggles, we are so proud of how he fought this cancer for 3 months and with heavy hearts he transitioned on 4th Dec 2019. 

Then in March 2020, extremely sudden and unexpectedly my Dad (Delfin Ng) was diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer. We saw him deteriorate within weeks and due to COVID restrictions it was the hardest challenge to push for further investigations. We felt left in the dark and had to come to the reality that his life would be shortened. He passed away on 31st May 2020, but we are truly grateful that we managed to spend everyday with him during lockdown until his transition. 

It was hard for us to watched our Dad's suffer through this horrific disease. We stood by them, our Mum's and family, cared for them and did all we could to help them during the last months of their lives.

From this hardship, hurt & pain, it birthed the song 'Never Alone by Jeff Nang' in their memory, in hope that this would bring some light and uplift us and others, even momentarily. It is a reminder that during the hardest times, whether you or someone you know is fighting this disease or have lost a loved one, you’re never alone.

The sad truth is that those affect by Cancer have been severely impacted by Covid-19 and the lockdown in the UK:

• Up to 35,000 more cancer deaths.
  
• 55,000 extra Brits are waiting to have key checks.
• 23,000 cancers weren't discovered in lock-down.
• And 55% of UK Cancer deaths are from rare and less common cancers alone.*

We understand the difficulties surrounding those affected especially during these trying times and wanted to help others, even just a little, in honour & loving memory of two great, loving, brave and inspiring men, Charlie Estrada & Delfin Ng.
