As you know in the past our family has felt the effects of both Cancer and Polio and we feel blessed that we have come through these diseases pretty well. We are grateful for the work done by the Cancer and Polio Charities and felt that we really had to support them and give back a little something to say Thank You.

This bike ride also gave us the opportunity to come out of our comfort zone and challenge ourselves to achieve something pretty amazing in a wonderful part of the world. We have started training slowly but steadily and hope to get as fit as we can so we can enjoy our trip without too much pain. (I am really hoping that the hills are very gentle ones and any wind is always behind us!!)
