Story

I've decided to run 5K everyday in February 2021!  This is to raise funds to buy the kids at our high school in Haiti new school shoes.

When I recently went through my wardrobe (lockdown fever!), I was embarrassed at the number of shoes I own (and hardly wear).  The kids at our high school take great pride in their appearance, but shoes are often sub-standard.  The area around the school is dirt track and often floods, which means the school shoes take rather a battering.

We have sourced a supplier, who makes sturdy school shoes from locally recycled materials, which not only helps our supply problem, but also the Haitian economy, so it's a win/win.

Each pair of shoes costs £25.00 and my aim is to buy 10 pairs.  So if you could sponsor me £5 for one of my 5K runs in February, then I am sure to hit my target!

Thanks in advance, and if any of you would like to join me on one of the runs feel free to drop me a note and we can sort out a social distance run (within Govt guidelines)!

Wish me luck! :-)
