After several successful events, we are raising the final amount towards a TinyTrax powerchair for our superstar!

J is seven years old and has overcome so much! We were told that if he survived his first year, he would never be free of his ventilator, would never walk, talk or eat orally and that his life would be extremely limited.

He came off his ventilator at the age of 3, and by age 5 he had had his last tube feed, his tracheostomy stoma had been closed, he was walking and had started to talk! He is a little miracle!

He is the happiest child you could ever hope to meet, but he still has his challenges and needs a lot of support. He is visually impaired and wears hearing aids, he is very wobbly on his legs and needs mobility aids to get around. His mobility fluctuates, he has a long cane, a walking frame, a wheelchair buggy and a powerchair that he uses at different times depending on his energy levels and ability that day.

He has had a Wizzybug powerchair on loan from a charity for the last two years that has been amazing for him but he now needs a chair that’s a bit more age appropriate and will allow him to keep up with his brothers and friends, with a bigger battery and better motor. The TinyTrax chair is the lightest powerchair available for his age range, has a much bigger battery capacity and is very capable off-road on hills, grass, gravel and country tracks. 

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, then the funds will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects.  If in those circumstances we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
