Hope Challenge 2018 · 15 June 2018

We believe decent homes are the heartbeat of strong communities and so we also fight for land rights for women, upgrade urban slums and informal settlements, improve access to water and sanitation, and help communities become more resilient in the face of natural disasters.

Story

Between the 28th Jun 2019 to the 30th June 2019, six NHBC colleagues will travel to the Peak District to design and build shelters that they will call home for two nights. Over the course of the weekend, they will complete a series of mental and physical tasks and trek through the Hope Valley, in competition with other teams from the building industry.

The teams have a minimum fundraising target of £3,000 each which is the average cost of building a Habitat house for those most in need around the world but they intend to go past their target. As well as taking donations, they will be taking part in various fundraising events such as a sleep out, running a sweet and savoury cake sale and holding raffles through out the rest of the year.

So support the NHBC Hope Challenge team and help raise vital funds to achieve Habitat for Humanity's vision of every man, woman and child having the right to a decent home that will keep them safe, secure and warm.
