Story
Handball is a team sport to which two teams, of seven players each, pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A match consist of two periods of 30mins, and the team that scores more goals wins. The Handball Club has been established in 2018 in order to enable the local handball lovers to train and play together. Due to a strong passion and determination, the Women's team have already won Regional Midlands League and are taking part in the Shield Cup Finals at Derby Arena in May, whilst Men's team have recently had their first successful friendly game. The Club also runs Kids Academy weekly and are looking forward for the little ones to become one team.
Both teams recently took part in games on a special Mother's Day. For this occasion, the youngest supporters gave flowers and hand made cards to some of the players, bringing smiles not only to their parent, but also to the supporters and club's volunteers.
We would like to fundraise for Children's Ward at Northampton Health Services (NHS) as children show us that whilst we try to teach them about life they teach us what life is all about! They believe in us in every step we take and we want to show we also believe in them. Their smile is worth every mile.
...We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.
