Story
Hi, my name is Yiming and I am a 13-year-old from South-East London.
On the 5th January 2021, the UK plunged into another national lockdown, affecting education, businesses and most importantly, healthcare.
The NHS, our National Health Service, are the heroes we rely upon during critical times like this. We must protect them and follow lockdown rules to save lives in the UK.
In the UK, 10.6 million citizens are classified as key workers. To thank these key workers for keeping this country going, I will run 106 miles, attempting to achieve my goal before the end of the national lockdown. 1 mile for every 100,000 key workers!
This goal of 106 miles will help me keep fit, healthy and active whilst we are being placed behind our doors once again.
All donations and support are greatly appreciated. Stay home and save lives. Exercise accordingly to the rules. May the country swiftly get back on its knees after the pandemic!
Thank you to all key workers during these times and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page,
Yiming
I will post updates here as well as on Instagram, @nhs106mi. Please support my page by following! Thanks!
Another note: my cover photo is from December 2019, before Covid-19.
I will undertake exercise accordingly with the current lockdown measures.
