Leigh Harbutt and myself in conjunction with Woodside fishery’s in cleobury Mortimer just out side of Kidderminster have teamed up to create a NHS appreciation fishing match. Ben and his family have kindly supported the event by giving up the venue at a massively reduced rate and have also agreed to provide refreshments after the match.

The match is already a sell out (all 35 pegs taken) with many anglers already pledging donations and local businesses also offering sponsorships, the event is building momentum and it looks likely to be a massive success.

The event will be fished on Saturday 1/8/20 providing lockdown and limitations are relaxed. Please come along and support the venue even if your unable to fish, we have a raffle taking place with tackle and prizes to be won

Our local NHS and it’s staff have been put under tremendous pressure in the recent weeks putting there selves at risk on a daily basis while the country fights the Covid-19 virus. 

Our country hasn’t ever experienced anything like this and we feel we should support our local NHS in anyway we can as a thank you for all the hard work and the risks they are taking on a daily basis.

If possible please make an donation and support our frontline NHS staff no matter how small the donation it’s will all help going forward.
