NHS Makers Raffle

NHS Makers Raffle · 31 March 2021
IMPORTANT: You MUST leave your contact details (email address) in the "your message " section when you make a donation, so the winners can be contacted once the raffle has closed (31st May). Winners will be drawn via random name picker online. Unfortunately, failure to do so will mean your entry will be invalid as we won't be able to contact you.
Many of our fellow peers in the NHS have been working incredibly hard during the pandemic, resulting in high rates of burnout. During these stressful times, some have found art and craft to be a great form of release.
This NHS makers raffle strives to celebrate the selfless work of our NHS staff, both in and out of the hospital. Importantly, we hope to promote open conversation around the emotional difficulties many have faced on the job during the pandemic and to raise awareness of the mental health support available.
Each raffle ticket costs £5. Buy as many or few as you would like, each ticket is an entry to win one of many beautiful creations, from photography prints to ceramics, donated by a talented NHS (and SAMH) maker. The raffle will run for a month in May (closing date 31st May 2021), and winners picked at random.
All proceeds will go to the Scottish association for mental health (SAMH), Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, in over 60 communities they work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. These services together with their national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
If you are an NHS worker with a knack for arts and crafts and would like to donate a prize to the raffle, get in touch at samantha.ong.yq@gmail.com. The more the merrier, especially when it's for a good cause!
Thank you for your support.
Warm Wishes,
Samantha Ong
