I have the great honour to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Lauralynn for the past 5 years and its time for me to get out
there and meet a challenge. I was inveigled into entering the Paris 2 Nice challenge,
a cycle of over 750 kms over 6 days. I have been training for some time now but
its a bit daunting but the challenge should be worthy of the cause.

LauraLynn
is Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice providing free palliative and hospice care
for children with life-limiting conditions and their families from all across
Ireland. LauraLynn provides a range of services including, symptom management,
music & play therapy, psychological support, family & sibling camps, short
breaks, Crisis Care & End of Life Care. LauraLynn relies primarily on
fundraised income and this year alone must raise €5.5 million. Since opening in
2011, LauraLynn has cared for almost 481 children and their families. I really
believe that Lauralynn and the services they provide make a huge difference.
