Our Indian schools serve children living in extremely poor conditions with lack of hygiene, cramped conditions & limited resources. With lockdown these children & their families are facing starvation. Just £15 will provide much needed food & soap.

Story

Saphara supports many of the children in schools who live in marginalised communities with extremely poor living conditions; lack of hygiene and limited resources. As a result of the current pandemic, COVID-19, the children are more vulnerable now than ever. Many of the children did not have adequate online learning provisions at home as therefor they missed out on a vital, almost 2 years, of education. Every £100 that I raise will provide a child in India with a full year education which includes a uniform, books, a school meal, and it also goes towards providing pay for the teachers who make as little as £3 an hour (some months without pay at all).

As you know, education is a huge part of my life and as a practicing teacher, I feel it is somewhat my duty to uphold the values that I have on education. I will be walking 5 miles everyday in order to show my commitment to the charity. If you would kindly donate even £1 to this charity, I can assure you it will go a long way and it will change a child's life! Education is power.
