We raise vital funds to Support Sick Children in CHI Hospitals

Story

Baby Malachy was born to my cousin Ruaidhri and his lovely wife Siobhan in February 2022. He faced profound medical issues from birth, spending more than half his life in Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin.

Sadly, brave baby Malachy would pass away on April 29th 2022, aged just 11 weeks old.

During his short life, Ruaidhri and Siobhan (& Malachy’s big brother, Turlough) were blown away by the levels of care and support they received from the doctors and nurses, physiotherapists and other staff within the Children’s Heart Unit & Paediatric ICU within Crumlin Hospital.

My cousin Ruaidhri has already completed the amazing achievement of running the Dublin Marathon in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital and now myself and my partner James would like to do the same.

We are running the Manchester Marathon on April 16th in aid of families like my cousin’s and babies like Malachy. This is my first marathon (James’ second!) and any support is greatly appreciated for this fantastic cause.

About the charity
