Story
We're both on the committee for the Tamworth and Lichfield branch of the MS Society. We've got tonnes of plans for activities, days out and new groups so we need to raise as much money as possible to get our plans into action!

Before I was diagnosed, I set myself a 'before I'm 30 I will do'.... list
(as many people do!) On my list was to do the 3 peaks
challenge. Shortly after I was diagnosed I climbed Snowdonia but 6 months
later I had my first major relapse. As a result of the relapse I had to use a
stick and found getting around much more difficult.
With lots of regret and lots of tears I had to admit that my dreams of doing the 3 peaks challenge was no longer a possibility. So, when I heard about this zip wire challenge, I thought ‘I could do that!’ I'm really looking forward to the feeling of accomplishment after I've landed safely back on the ground!
I’ve had to look into whether I should do this and how it could affect me, but now I know this is something I can do! Raising much needed funds for the branch is a massive bonus for me so please give generously :)

I've been on the Tamworth and Lichfield branch committee
for 2 years now so I know all about the amazing work all our volunteers do for
people affected by MS in the local area.
I joined the committee by chance after scouring the internet for new job opportunities. I saw that the branch was after a newsletter and website editor, and as I work in communications, this was right up my street and I knew I could help out. I met Margaret, the branch founder, we hit it off and the rest is history as they say!
I’m really keen to do something to raise money for people affected by MS, their carers, family and friends. I’ve been continually amazed by the strength, positivity and friendliness shown by everyone I've met whilst in my role. I’m determined to raise as much money as possible, so as Nic says, make sure you give generously!!
