Bridge to Bridge, Oxford to Venice bike ride · 19 July 2014 to 29 July 2014 ·

First founded in the 13th century, Hertford has a tradition of progressive and forward-thinking initiatives. The first Oxford college to champion outreach and access and part of the first cohort to admit women, Hertford remains a thriving academic community for over 600 undergraduates and graduates.

Story

My name is Nicholas Patni and I'm currently studying Medicine at Hertford College, Oxford.

Pedal, Pedal, Pedal!

This summer I'm riding the 1,100km from the Bridge of Sighs in Oxford to the one in Venice over 11 days.

Sore bum, achy thighs and strained determination - a small price to pay for equality in education.

I'll be raising money for our college bursary scheme making sure money isn't a barrier to a university education here at Oxford.

I think it's a great opportunity to make a small difference in improving access to and equality in education that will hopefully have a big impact on someone's decision to come to university and specifically Hertford. I'm proud to be from a college that puts so much emphasis on equality and I want it to continue so this is me playing my part in that.

Help me by donating whatever you can! Check out the video below and the college blog page :)
