The UK Gout Society provides basic information for people who suffer from gout, including information on causes, diet and treatment advice, and links to other organisations that are committed to education, health promotion and the prevention of gout.

Story

OK - did the event .... 5:24 ish - no idea of the place (near the back). Glad I did it, however still confident I'll not touch another marathon again. The support was unbelieveable, but when you've got blisters on both feet, those last 6 miles didn't half drag .....

OK, for some unknown reason, I've been applying for a place in the London Marathon and this year I got one .......

I've decided to ask for sponsorship for a couple of reasons:

1) I'm never, ever, going to run a marathon again, so might as well do something worthwhile with this one

2) As you may know, Gout is very close to my heart (well my big toes) and anything that can help others avoid some of the pain I've previously experienced would be valuable.

The race is next Sunday (17th April) and I'm no-where near ready, but not going to pull out now.

I've only run up to 15 miles, so 26 is going to be a challenge (nightmare).
