For those of you that know me well know that over the last few years I’ve been involved in personal physical challenges to raise money for various charities.  This time I’m hoping to raise money for Cancer Research UK as unfortunately at the start of August I myself was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Its life changing to hear the ‘C’ word, the wave of emotions that wash over you, it’s devastating and terrifying.  You feel like your world is falling apart around you, nothing is normal.  The plans you have for the next few months suddenly stop in their tracks and it’s all about hospital appointments and focusing on the fight ahead.

So, I have had the prognosis, I have had the surgery, the next part of the journey starts this Sunday 2^nd November. I am trying to do something positive with a very negative low stage of my life. I have decided to donate my hair (and again if you know me you know HOW MUCH I have got) to the Little Princess Trust charity, they take donated hair and turn it into real hair wigs for young children suffering from cancer.

I have set up a justgiving page to raise money for Cancer Research UK as it is so important to try to understand this evil disease, maybe even potentially find a cure, and hopefully preventing others from experiencing it at all. If you can donate as little or as much as possible for this amazing charity then together we can fight it. I know I’m going to give it everything I’ve got! Thanks Nichola xxx
