Story
In July 2015, at the age of 55, my younger brother and Ben's beloved uncle, John, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. It came like a bolt out of the blue. But as well as the personal effect on John and his family, it was devastating to discover that there is no Government funding for Parkinson's at all. That's when we decided we had to do something to raise desperately needed funds for this incredibly worthwhile cause and so help to bring sufferers of this terrible condition closer to a cure.
As John turns 60, our goal is to raise £60,000 by walking the 60-mile distance between our home in Cheshire and John’s home in Nottinghamshire. This will be known as Mr Loophole's 60/ 60 /60 Challenge for Parkinson's.
Keeping me and Ben company will be our loyal Staffordshire Bull Terrier, George. We would be delighted to meet walkers (and their dogs) who wish to join us along the way.
