The funds raised from the Ride London-Essex 100 event will be put towards the building of an outdoor Green Gym which will complement an existing eco-therapy project. The Green Gym will incorporate a range of outdoor exercise equipment which residents will be able to make use of throughout their time in treatment. The beneficial effects of exercise for those in recovery are well documented and include: a reduction in stress, better sleep, improved mood, a stronger immune system and increased energy.
