We house military patients and families to keep our heroes close to their families

Story

With 2020 Nijmegen Marches cancelled. I Have decided to do the event from home on the exact same dates 21-24 July 2020. 25 miles each day around Shropshire . So my very own Vierdaagse with something a bit special on the final day  just like the final day of Nijmegen Vierdaagse.

On the final day I will be marching from RAF Cosford to the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham via Sutton Coldfield (37 miles final day ) alongside Natalie Queiroz who’s life was saved by the Air Ambulance  and QEHB after a horrific knife attack in Sutton Coldfield so also supporting her challenge of walking the air ambulance flight path.

Fisher House has continued to be open to military patients and their families. At the height of the COVID 19 pandemic it also housed NHS nurses so they could be in close proximity of the hospital.

For the first 3 days I will walk alone but on the last day I will be walking with Natalie and Simon also a few members of RCDMs Nijmegen team 2020  Brent Carter, Leanne  John,  Lance Cahill and Anthony Powell.

Fisher House is a home away from home for military patients and their families at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where the UK's military patients are treated.
